Are you working on a performance and have questions about the process? Do you want to be part of a larger network? Perhaps you need artistic, production, or financial support but aren’t sure where to find it. Or maybe you're unsure where to develop or present your work and how you fit in as a creator.
Who are we?
We are a community of people working with new artists at Over het IJ, Cement, VIA ZUID, Amsterdam Fringe Festival, Zaal 3/HNT, Jonge Harten Festival, de Brakke Grond, Café Theater Festival, Delft Fringe Festival, de theatermaker, Likeminds, Bellevue, Frascati.
We have combined our forces to be more accessible for you, while you’re working on something new. From this September onwards, every first Monday of the month, we will organize a nomadic Makers* Monday event. Nomadic, so we will be reachable all over the Netherlands.
Free of charge, you can submit your question at least one week in advance, and we will make sure that a professional will answer your question during the event.
Why?
We see that there’s a lack of places for people working in the performing arts, to learn and ask questions about their projects, to find their way in the arts field, and to build a bigger or broader network.
What questions can you ask?
Whatever question (such as about dramaturgy, budget plans, marketing, artistically, productional, etc), as long it’s about your work or how you position yourself in the arts field, and not a pitch to sell your project.
For Makers* Monday, we’re here to help you with the process, not to book your show. There are no wrong questions. Seriously not. We’re here for you, wherever you are in your process of making.
How does it work?
- Every month the Makers* Monday will be in a different city.
- Up to 1 week before each Makers* Monday, you can submit your question by filling in this form.
- We will make sure to find the right professional from within our community of partners who could talk to you during Makers* Monday about your specific question.
- Everyone working in the performing arts is welcome.
- Language spoken: English and/or Dutch. Depending on your needs.
- Costs: None.

Each Makers* Monday will last from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
You will receive the address of each Makers* Monday prior to the meeting.
There will be drinks and snacks.
