Eight reasons to apply as an artist at Delft Fringe Festival! .

Are you a new artist and looking for a place to play and gain experience in 2022? The Delft Fringe Festival is one of the most important and biggest theater festivals for new makers. Every year we offer a stage to artists in all genres of the performing arts. But besides a stage, we offer so much more:

1. As an artist or theater company you will receive an expense allowance/producer’s budget of €200! In addition, you earn money during the festival per ticket sold.

2. The Delft Fringe Festival is a springboard to the main field. You are given the space to perform a 30-minute show at least 8 times. This gives you the space to develop yourself and the performance. Producers who have performed at Delft Fringe Festival have won prizes such as the Ad Vinken Prize, prizes at the Groningen Cabaret Festival and the Leiden Cabaret Festival, or are now being booked by booking agencies.

3. You play at exciting locations in the middle of the historic city of Delft. Playing at different locations is an enormous enrichment. It stimulates your creativity and gives your performance its own atmosphere.

4. You are in direct contact with your audience, expanding your reach. In 2019, there were a total of more than 15,000 visits to performances during the Delft Fringe Festival.

5. You will receive professional guidance, among other things in the areas of marketing, dramaturgy and business coaching, in the form of two great workshops.

6. You grow your network because you have contact with producers and programmers from all over the Netherlands.

7. We offer a lot of space for contextual programmes, such as Q&As, Delft Fringe Nights and collaborations with our partners.
