For the youngest among us, Delft Fringe Festival 2026 features two family shows. Whether you are coming with your own children, your grandchildren, as a proud godparent, a kind neighbour, or simply because you fancy being a child yourself for a little while, everyone is warmly welcome. Because theatre is for all ages!
In De Blauwe Kiekendief, birdwatcher Merel takes you into the woods during her very first birdwatching class, on the lookout for a rare bird. But then Inspector Mees arrives with bad news: the forest is to be cleared to make way for a new road. Together with the audience, Merel springs into action to save the woods. This interactive and musical show by Mo and Juul (ages 6+) is about the love of nature.
In their new show, NEUSWIJS brings two worlds crashing together: the ultra-cautious Raf, who lives in a house full of cushions, and the cheerful hurricane Veer, who charges through life without a care. With few words but plenty of music, slapstick and striking imagery, NEUSWIJS shows that making mistakes is not something to fear, but the beginning of something new.
The very youngest enter free of charge, but must be accompanied by an adult with their own ticket. If it is busy, a member of staff may ask you to keep your child on your lap. Bringing a pram or buggy? Check page X for accessible venues.
Right in the middle of the Markt stands our pink festival pavilion: an unmissable seven-metre-tall rabbit. Come along, look up and snap a photo!
