Tappin-It Collective is the winner of the Delft Fringe Festival 2021!
On the first weekend that the theaters are allowed to reopen, the Delft Fringe Festival puts Delft illusionist Dion van Rijt live on stage at the Rietveld Theater. "I am extremely proud that Dion and the festival team have been so flexible in responding to the accelerated easing of coronavirus measures and have managed to pull this off," said festival director Roel Beeftink - Funcken. "With this we are building a bridge between this year's online festival and the festival in 2022."
ArtsTalk Magazine spotted our new festival pavilion on the Markt and wrote an article on their website about the Origami Fringe Rabbit. Have you also spotted it? Don't forget to drop by, it's there until June 6!
On May 19th in De Telegraaf: an interview with Kelly Vanneste of Alienated. Read the interview with her in De Telegraaf or book tickets directly for the cinematic screenings of the show 'Playstation Blackout'.
The Delft Fringe Festival also lets children experience the magic of theater. They can dance along in the living room, be enchanted and discover theatrical fairy tales. Meet our 7-meter-tall pink rabbit, get to work with the 3D-origami coloring page or walk the rabbit route! In short, there is plenty on the program for all the kids!
Online and on screen. We are all used to it by now but it is sometimes quite lonely. And when you think of a festival, you think above all of happy times and togetherness! So how do you match the online character of this edition with the characteristic conviviality of a performing arts festival?
One of the advantages of an online festival is that you can have a drink while watching a wonderful performance! That is why this year we have joined forces with Huszár, the best brasserie on the Hooikade in Delft. They have put together two delicious and sustainable party boxes for us! Enjoy all the goodies with your housemates or just keep it all for yourself ;)
ArtsTalk Magazine editor Michael Hasted interviewed Delft Fringe Festival director Roel Beeftink-Funcken about the online version of the festival.
Did you know that in The Student Hotel you can find The Commons, the in-house restaurant? They have organized a super promotion during the festival period: Buy a ticket for a performance and get 10% discount when ordering a pizza! Awesome!
From Friday, May 28, to Sunday, June 6, various performances are scheduled every afternoon at 12:00 and 13:00. From dance and music to cabaret. A great way to relax during your break or on your day off. Let your mind roam free, be moved or laugh until tears roll down your cheeks. So, grab a sandwich, a cup of tea or some other tasty treat and join us!
A shining beacon. That's what the Delft Fringe Festival wants to be this year.
