Wat betekent het om alles achter te laten voor de kans op een veilig bestaan? For Life, I Would Do It Again vertelt het aangrijpende verhaal van Masoud, een jonge man die vluchtte uit Iran. In een wereld waar dreiging en angst altijd dichtbij zijn, besluit hij zijn leven te riskeren voor een toekomst zonder onderdrukking.
Theatermaker Kevin Sweep en Masoud Roshanzamir, twee goede vrienden, nemen je mee in een voorstelling die grenzen overschrijdt, zowel letterlijk als emotioneel. Dit is niet zomaar theater, dit is een waargebeurd verhaal van vriendschap, veerkracht en de onbreekbare menselijke wil om vrij te zijn.
Masoud vluchtte in 2022 uit Iran naar Nederland. Zijn persoonlijke verhaal vormt het hart van deze voorstelling, maar weerspiegelt ook de ervaringen van velen die alles achterlaten voor veiligheid en vrijheid. Vanuit hun vriendschap wordt dit verhaal open, kwetsbaar en zonder omwegen verteld.
De muziek wordt live uitgevoerd door The Silhouette Duo, twee Spaanse klassieke muzikanten. Dwarsfluitist Alejandro en violiste Irene zetten niet alleen de sfeer neer, maar nemen ook bijrollen in het verhaal op zich. Zij componeerden en arrangeerden de muziek, geïnspireerd op Masoud en zijn reis, waardoor klank en verhaal nauw met elkaar verweven zijn.
De voorstelling speelt zich af in een minimalistisch decor van twee stoelen en vijf vintage telefoons met lampen erin. In deze sobere setting krijgen spel, muziek en tekst alle ruimte om het publiek diep te raken. Een ervaring die je niet onberoerd laat. Een verhaal dat je bijblijft.

For Life, I Would Do It Again tells the gripping story of Masoud, a young man who fled Iran. In a world where threat and fear are always close by, he decides to risk his life for a future without oppression.
Theatre-maker Kevin Sweep and Masoud Roshanzamir, two close friends, take you on a journey that crosses boundaries, both literally and emotionally. This is not just theatre, this is a true story of friendship, resilience, and the unbreakable human will to be free.
Masoud fled Iran to the Netherlands in 2022. His personal story forms the heart of this performance, while also reflecting the experiences of many who leave everything behind in search of safety and freedom. Through their friendship, this story is told openly and without filters.
The live music is performed by The Silhouette Duo, two Spanish classical musicians. Flutist Alejandro and violinist Irene not only establish the atmosphere but also take on supporting roles within the story. They composed and arranged the music, drawing inspiration from Masoud and his journey, weaving sound and storytelling closely together.
The performance unfolds in a minimalist setting of two chairs and five vintage telephones fitted with lights. In this stripped-down environment, words, music, and performance are given full space to resonate deeply with the audience. An experience that will not leave you untouched. A story that stays with you.

Wat als je gewoon wilt bestaan, maar plotseling wordt omgedraaid? Je wacht op de bus en maakt je geen zorgen over de vertraging. Maar de wereld versnelt om je heen en niemand laat het toe om stil te staan. Het voortdurende schommelen, vliegen en gooien creëert een surrealistisch maar vertrouwd universum.
Rogers, just Just Rogers is een stuk over een stil bestaan in een snelle wereld. Just Rogers heeft weinig ambities. De buitenwereld kan hem in onverwachte richtingen duwen of trekken, maar Rogers blijft op zijn plaats zonder zich zorgen te maken over gemiste kansen. Is dit berusting in de eisen van de kapitalistische samenleving, of een kleine rebellie ertegen?
Het stuk combineert hedendaagse dans en circus, met een focus op partnerwerk en acrobatische elementen die spelen met risico en vertrouwen.

The Falling Club is een nieuwgevormd collectief van internationale danskunstenaars die het stilzwijgend betekenisvolle willen laten zien. Door kennis uit dans, circus en performancekunst te combineren, creëren ze voorstellingen op de grens tussen onzekerheid en vertrouwen, verveling en opwinding, zweven en vallen. Het collectief bestaat uit Sini Ahonen, Lunis Katholnigg, Gregor Kenneweg en Meike Münch, afkomstig uit Duitsland en Finland en momenteel woonachtig in Nederland, waar ze hun opleiding aan ArtEZ Dance Artist afronden.

*What if you just want to exist but suddenly get flipped? Oh well. You wait for the bus, not minding the delay. But the world speeds up around you and no one is allowed to stand still. The constant swinging, flying, and throwing creates a surreal yet familiar universe.
Rogers, just Just Rogers is a piece about a quiet existence in a fast-paced world. Just Rogers is a person with little ambition. Although the outside world may push or pull them in unexpected directions, Rogers remains in place with no concern about missed opportunities for greatness. Is this a resignation to the demands of capitalist society, or a tiny rebellion against it?
The piece combines contemporary dance and circus, with a focus on partner work and acrobatic elements that play with risk-taking and trust.
Biography
The Falling Club is a newly formed collective of international dance artists who want to highlight the quietly meaningful. Combining knowledge from dance, circus, and performance art, they create performances that play on the line between uncertainty and trust, boredom and excitement, floating and falling. The collective consists of Sini Ahonen, Lunis Katholnigg, Gregor Kenneweg, and Meike Münch, originally from Germany and Finland and currently based in the Netherlands, where they are finishing their studies at ArtEZ Dance Artist programme.

Alles lijkt vertrouwd, en toch voelt het anders. Het lichaam is teruggekeerd naar huis, maar de geest is nog achtergebleven. Een geluid, te hard, te dichtbij. Een toevallige beweging. Het gezicht van een vreemde. Alledaagse momenten vertonen scheuren, de tijd raakt ontregeld.
Pulling the Trigger is een solovoorstelling op het snijvlak van dans en fysiek theater, gecreëerd door Daria Titova en uitgevoerd door Marko Šakić. De voorstelling volgt een soldaat die wordt geconfronteerd met zijn eigen verleden, niet in staat het volledig onder ogen te zien of eraan te ontsnappen. Via beweging, tekst en stem ontvouwt het werk zich als een ontmoeting tussen herinnering, verantwoordelijkheid en het gewicht van keuzes die niet kunnen worden teruggedraaid.
Bewegend tussen controle en instorting, breuk en verzachting, stilstand en explosie, onderzoekt pulling the trigger wat het werkelijk betekent om de trekker over te halen, zowel letterlijk als figuurlijk, en of we ooit de keuzes van hen die dat doen werkelijk kunnen begrijpen.

Daria Titova (1999) is een freelance danskunstenaar gebaseerd in Amsterdam. Oorspronkelijk afkomstig uit Rusland, studeerde ze in 2022 af met een Bachelor Dans aan ArtEZ University of the Arts. Haar praktijk verbindt dans, fysiek theater, stem en tekst, waarbij ze het lichaam als vertrekpunt gebruikt om menselijke verhalen te vertellen. Ze is geïnteresseerd in hoe ervaringen, herinneringen en vragen over verbondenheid ons vormen, en hoe voorstellingen een manier kunnen worden om de complexiteit, kwetsbaarheid en tegenstrijdigheden van het mens-zijn te onderzoeken.

Wat als je gewoon wilt bestaan, maar plotseling wordt omgedraaid? Je wacht op de bus en maakt je geen zorgen over de vertraging. Maar de wereld versnelt om je heen en niemand laat het toe om stil te staan. Het voortdurende schommelen, vliegen en gooien creëert een surrealistisch maar vertrouwd universum.
Rogers, just Just Rogers is een stuk over een stil bestaan in een snelle wereld. Just Rogers heeft weinig ambities. De buitenwereld kan hem in onverwachte richtingen duwen of trekken, maar Rogers blijft op zijn plaats zonder zich zorgen te maken over gemiste kansen. Is dit berusting in de eisen van de kapitalistische samenleving, of een kleine rebellie ertegen?
Het stuk combineert hedendaagse dans en circus, met een focus op partnerwerk en acrobatische elementen die spelen met risico en vertrouwen.

The Falling Club is een nieuwgevormd collectief van internationale danskunstenaars die het stilzwijgend betekenisvolle willen laten zien. Door kennis uit dans, circus en performancekunst te combineren, creëren ze voorstellingen op de grens tussen onzekerheid en vertrouwen, verveling en opwinding, zweven en vallen. Het collectief bestaat uit Sini Ahonen, Lunis Katholnigg, Gregor Kenneweg en Meike Münch, afkomstig uit Duitsland en Finland en momenteel woonachtig in Nederland, waar ze hun opleiding aan ArtEZ Dance Artist afronden.

Rogers, just Just Rogers is a piece about a quiet existence in a fast-paced world. Just Rogers is a person with little ambition. Although the outside world may push or pull them in unexpected directions, Rogers remains in place with no concern about missed opportunities for greatness. Is this a resignation to the demands of capitalist society, or a tiny rebellion against it?
The piece combines contemporary dance and circus, with a focus on partner work and acrobatic elements that play with risk-taking and trust.

The Falling Club is a newly formed collective of international dance artists who want to highlight the quietly meaningful. Combining knowledge from dance, circus, and performance art, they create performances that play on the line between uncertainty and trust, boredom and excitement, floating and falling. The collective consists of Sini Ahonen, Lunis Katholnigg, Gregor Kenneweg, and Meike Münch, originally from Germany and Finland and currently based in the Netherlands, where they are finishing their studies at ArtEZ Dance Artist programme.

Pulling the Trigger is een solovoorstelling op het snijvlak van dans en fysiek theater, gecreëerd door Daria Titova en uitgevoerd door Marko Šakić. De voorstelling volgt een soldaat die wordt geconfronteerd met zijn eigen verleden, niet in staat het volledig onder ogen te zien of eraan te ontsnappen. Via beweging, tekst en stem ontvouwt het werk zich als een ontmoeting tussen herinnering, verantwoordelijkheid en het gewicht van keuzes die niet kunnen worden teruggedraaid.

Een poëtische muziektheatervoorstelling over hoop en haar schaduwzijde. Twee broers zijn elkaars tegenbeeld, maar verliezen zich beiden in hun verlangen naar een vrouw die alles moet bezitten wat ze zelf niet hebben.
De introverte kunstenaar Prometheus gelooft iets grootser te kunnen creëren dan de goden zelf. Als een bezetene jaagt hij op de muze die steeds in zijn dromen verschijnt. Zijn broer, extraverte natuurfotograaf Epimetheus, snapt niet waarom iedere poging om heviger lief te hebben, zijn geliefde juist verder bij hem vandaan duwt. Pandora, de vrouw met de kruik, brengt zowel verrukking als onheil in het leven van de broers. Of weerspiegelt haar water slechts wat al in hen aanwezig was?
De mythe over Prometheus en zijn broer gaat over meer dan het brengen van het vuur. Het is een tragedie waarin verborgen en onderbewuste processen bewust worden. Een stuk waarin de Griekse mythe en autobiografische ervaringen van schrijver Max Bruins door elkaar lopen. Wie het innerlijk vuur draagt zal zijn schaduw tegenkomen. Wie in schaduw leeft, zal zich daar niet van bewust zijn tot hij het vuur heeft gezien.

Femke Hulsman (1996) studeerde in 2025 af aan de Dutch National Opera Academy, waar ze speelde in verschillende opera's met het Orkest van de 18e eeuw en het Residentie Orkest. Ze trad op in het Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, De Vereeniging Nijmegen en De Nationale Opera.
Max Bruins (1997) studeerde af aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag (2020) en Codarts Rotterdam (2022). Hij zong rollen bij o.a. het Residentie Orkest, Opera2day, Barok Opera Amsterdam, B'Rock Orchestra, Holland Symfonie Orkest en Muziektheater Hollandsdiep.

Femke Hulsman en Max Simon Bruins voeren dit alles uit met mezzosopraan, tenor, piano en basgitaar. Prometheus en Epimetheus zingen werk van Schubert en Liszt; Femke zingt werk van vrouwelijke componisten zoals Strozzi en Von Bingen. Daarnaast zijn er gesproken monologen voor elk van de karakters.
*A poetic music-theatre performance about hope and its shadow side. Two brothers are each other's mirror image, yet both lose themselves in their longing for a woman who must possess everything they themselves lack.
The introverted artist Prometheus believes he can create something greater than the gods themselves. Like a madman, he chases the muse who repeatedly appears in his dreams. His brother, the extroverted nature photographer Epimetheus, cannot understand why every attempt to love his beloved more intensely only pushes her further away. Pandora, the woman with the jar, seems to bring both delight and calamity into the brothers' lives. Or does her water merely reflect what was already present within them?
The myth of Prometheus and his brother is about much more than the bringing of fire. It is a tragedy in which hidden and unconscious processes are brought to awareness. A work in which Greek myth and the autobiographical experiences of writer Max Bruins begin to intertwine. Whoever carries the inner fire will encounter his shadow. Whoever lives in shadow will not be aware of it until he has once seen the fire.*
