Al sinds kleins af aan is Lola van Rumpt gefascineerd door de storm. Wachtend tot ze kon leunen op de wind of de regen naar beneden zou storten. De chaos en schoonheid geven haar een gevoel van rust. Tegenwoordig herkent ze het gevoel van chaos in het dagelijkse leven en de druk van onze huidige samenleving.

‘Bursting Clouds’ is een ode aan storm. Omarm de onvoorspelbaarheid en bevraag de gevoelens die het oproept. Kijk verder dan het ongemak. Ontdek de krachtige kant maar ook de zachte en kwetsbare beleving. Hoe weerspiegelt het ons leven en onze verbinding met de natuur?

In dit hedendaags dansduet trotseren dansers de storm met alle intimiteit en kwetsbaarheid die daarbij gepaard gaat. Een zoektocht naar innerlijke rust binnen de razende wind en hoe de kalmte kan aanvoelen als thuis. Poëtische voice overs benadrukken het veranderlijke karakter van de storm. De muziek bestaat uit geluidsopnamen van storm.

Since childhood, Lola van Rumpt has been fascinated by the storm. Waiting until she could lean on the wind or the rain would pour down. The chaos and beauty give her a sense of calm. Today, she recognizes the sense of chaos in everyday life and the pressures of our current society.
