Soms is het leven als de stroming van de zee.
Word je erdoor meegesleurd en heen en weer geslingerd van hoge verwachting naar diepe teleurstelling.
Je hapt naar lucht, maar je longen vullen zich met water.
En je weet niet of je ooit nog veilig boven zult komen.
Je probeert je ergens aan vast te houden, maar de bodem bestaat uit los zand.
Er is geen houvast. Zelfs weten dat er geen houvast is, is geen houvast.
Want je weet niet, nooit niet wat er gaat gebeuren.
Alles stroomt en niets blijft.
Maar wat als je de illusie van controle loslaat?
Jezelf bevrijdt van alle beelden en verwachtingen?
Wat gebeurt er dan?
Sla je kapot tegen de rotsen? Spoel je aan bij een teleurstellend einde?
Of neemt het water je mee naar een plek die je nooit had kunnen verwachten
en zul je misschien heel misschien daar vinden wat je al die tijd al zocht?

In de tragikomische onemanshow 'Als zeesterren aan land komen' gaat cabaretier en acteur Sebastiaan de Bie op zoek naar een antwoord op de vraag ‘hoe in godsnaam met het leven om te gaan?’. In de hoop dat dat dan iets oplost. Waarschijnlijk niet, maar je moet wat als mens.

Zijn zoektocht is grof en gevoelig. Cynisch en romantisch. Poëtisch en platvloers. Arrogant en onzeker. Een tere ziel die met humor van zich af slaat. Want het wordt in elk geval heel grappig. (Vindt hij zelf tenminste. Is er sowieso altijd één iemand die een leuke tijd heeft.)

Over Sebastiaan de Bie
Sebastiaan de Bie werd in 1999 geboren. Het was blijkbaar zijn beurt. Ooit had hij een hond, maar die is nu dood. Dat was verdrietig, maar niet traumatisch. Hij heeft blauwe ogen die hij hemzelf goed vindt staan en hij eet elke ochtend een bakje cruesli met yoghurt en banaan. Hij vertrouwt zichzelf niet meer in boekwinkels, want hij koopt meer boeken dan hij leest. Ooit was hij bang voor seks, maar dat is nu minder. Hij weet eigenlijk niet écht wie hij is. Maar wie weet dat wel van zichzelf? Diegene moet een steen gooien ofzo…

Sebastiaan de Bie is acteur, cabaretier en schrijver. In 2021 studeerde hij af aan de Amsterdamse Toneelschool & Kleinkunstacademie. Hij maakt komische theatermonologen die zich begeven op het snijvlak van cabaret, toneel en stand-up comedy.

Sometimes life is like the current of the sea.
You are swept by it and tossed back and forth from high expectation to deep disappointment.
You gasp for air, but your lungs fill with water.
And you don't know if you will ever reach the surface safely.
You try to hold on to something, but the ground is made of loose sand.
There is no handhold. Even knowing that there is no holding is no holding.
Because you don't know, never know what is going to happen.
Everything flows and nothing stays.
But what if you let go of the illusion of control?
Free yourself from all images and expectations?
What happens then?
Do you smash against the rocks? Do you wash up at a disappointing end?
Or does the water take you to a place you could never have expected
and maybe just maybe you'll find there what you've been looking for all along?

In the tragicomic one-man show ‘Als zeesterren aan land komen’ (When starfish come ashore) comedian and actor Sebastiaan de Bie goes in search of an answer to the question "how on earth to deal with life”. Hoping that will then solve something. Probably not, but you have to do something as a human being.

His quest is crude and sensitive. Cynical and romantic. Poetic and vulgar. Arrogant and insecure. A delicate soul who lashes out with humor. Because at least it will be very funny (at least he thinks so himself. At least there is always one person having a good time anyway).

About Sebastiaan de Bie
Sebastiaan de Bie was born in 1999. Apparently it was his turn. He once had a dog, but it is now dead. That was sad, but not traumatic. He has blue eyes that he likes himself and he eats a bowl of cruesli with yogurt and banana every morning. He no longer trusts himself in bookstores because he buys more books than he reads. Once he was afraid of sex, but that is less now. He doesn't really know who he is. But who does know that about himself? That person should throw a stone or something...

Sebastiaan de Bie is an actor, comedian and writer. He graduated from Amsterdam's Toneelschool & Kleinkunstacademie in 2021. He creates comedic theater monologues that straddle the intersection of cabaret, drama and stand-up comedy.

Het begon met een liefdesverklaring aan Carry Slee. Al snel bleek dat er veel BN’ers bestaan die nog geen ode hebben gehad, maar er wel één verdienen. Waarom nemen we onze vaderlandse kinderboekenschrijvers voor lief? Wie is Matthijs van Nieuwkerk? Met welke BN’er zou je het liefst Mario Kart spelen? Deze vragen brachten Bart Jakobs en Teun Beurskens bij elkaar. In hun zoektocht naar de perfecte hommages voor iedere BN’er vonden ze liefde, dood, vriendschap en alle dvd’s van Carry Slee-verfilmingen.

De BN’er-cultuur is grillig, het ene moment ben je dé belofte, het andere moment sta je op Dumpert als het lachertje van de samenleving. Voor je het weet kent niemand je naam meer. Maar we spiegelen ons aan BN’ers, we kijken tegen ze op, of we willen ons tegen hen afzetten, kortom: we hebben ze nodig. Daarom verdient deze groep het om in het zonnetje gezet te worden. In ‘Odes’ gebeurt dat aan de hand van licht gestoorde perspectieven op BN’ers die je zelf niet had kunnen bedenken.

Voor deze eerste voorstelling maakten Bart en Teun van twee bezems hun instrumenten. Zeker in hun bandformatie, die ze tijdens Delft Fringe Festival op een aantal van hun speeldagen uitproberen, is dat een opvallende uitstraling die ze graag voor stief nemen.

Over De Vriendelijke Stiefvaders
De Vriendelijke Stiefvaders is een muzikaal cabaretduo dat bestaat uit Bart Jakobs en Teun Beurskens. Twee vrienden voor het leven die elkaar hebben leren kennen tijdens hun studie op de Koningstheateracademie. Samen speelden ze vaak als begeleiding in bands tijdens cabaretvoorstellingen, dit bracht hen onder andere naar een reeks voorstellingen in Zuid-Afrika, de halve finale van Cameretten en ze schreven/speelden allebei mee met de wekelijkse radiocolumn van Ramon Chatrer bij Giel Beelen op NPO Radio 2.

Toch hoorden ze de artiesten die ze begeleiden nooit zingen over dat waar ze zelf gefascineerd door waren: vergane vaderlandse glorie. Ze kwamen erachter dat liedjes schrijven met z'n tweeën leuk is en daarom werd in 2020 het duo De Vriendelijke Stiefvaders geboren.

It began with a declaration of love to Carry Slee. It soon became apparent that there are many BNs who have not yet had an ode, but deserve one. Why do we take our children's book authors for granted? Who is Matthijs van Nieuwkerk? Which BN'er would you most like to play Mario Kart with? These questions brought Bart Jakobs and Teun Beurskens together. In their search for the perfect tributes for each BN'er, they found love, death, friendship and all the DVDs of Carry Slee movies.

BN'er culture is fickle, one moment you are the promise, the next moment you are on Dumpert as the laughing stock of society. Before you know it, no one knows your name anymore. But we emulate BN'ers, we look up to them, or we want to look up to them, in short: we need them. That's why this group deserves to be put in the spotlight. In "Odes," that happens through slightly deranged perspectives on BN'ers that you couldn't have imagined yourself.

For this first performance, Bart and Teun turned two brooms into their instruments. Especially in their band setting, which they are trying out during Delft Fringe Festival on some of their performance days, this is a striking appearance that they are happy to take for a step.

About De Vriendelijke Stiefvaders
‘De Vriendelijke Stiefvaders’ is a musical cabaret duo consisting of Bart Jakobs and Teun Beurskens. Two friends for life who met while studying at the Koningstheateracademie. Together they often played as accompaniment in bands during cabaret performances, this brought them to a series of performances in South Africa, the semi-finals of Cameretten and they both wrote/played along with Ramon Chatrer's weekly radio column with Giel Beelen on NPO Radio 2.

Yet they never heard the artists they accompany sing about that which they themselves were fascinated by: bygone patriotic glory. They found out that writing songs with the two of them is fun and so, in 2020, De Vriendelijke Stiefvaders was born.

“Je hoeft niet bang te zijn, dat is nergens voor nodig.” Dat geruststellende advies hebben we allemaal wel eens gekregen én gegeven. Maar is dat wel zo’n goed advies? Is het niet beter om te leren omgaan met je angsten in plaats van ze weg te drukken?

Want zijn we niet allemaal bang? Bang voor oorlog. Bang voor de dood. Bang dat je verliefd wordt op de dochter van Angela de Jong en dat die dochter je dan zielsgelukkig maakt, maar dat je dan dus wel elke zondagmiddag koffie moet drinken met Angela de Jong.

Luuk is ook voor veel dingen bang. Maar zijn publiek schaamteloos vertellen over al z’n mislukte dates, vind hij dan weer helemaal niet eng. Of toegeven dat hij zich geen jongen, maar ook nog geen man voelt. Of uitleggen waarom niemand zich zorgen hoeft te maken over figuren als Marc Overmars.

In deze muzikale cabaretvoorstelling neemt Luuk je mee in hoe hij naar de wereld kijkt.
Is hij de zoveelste heteroseksuele mannelijke comedian die het publiek gaat uitleggen hoe de wereld werkt? Of móét hij grappen maken over de ongrijpbare wereld om hem heen omdat hij anders in totale paniek raakt? Zeg jij het maar.

Over Luuk Weggemans
Luuk Weggemans (10 mei, 1997) studeerde in 2022 af aan de Academie voor Cabaret & Kleinkunst met zijn voorstelling ‘Ertussenuit’. Sindsdien is hij actief als acteur, schrijver, zanger, regisseur en comedian.

Luuk bedacht en speelde de, door Roel Pronk geschreven, toneelmonoloog ‘De Zon Brandt Op Ons’. Ook stond hij in 2022 in het theater met zijn eigen muzikale cabaretvoorstelling ‘Het Komt Weer Terug’. Als regisseur werkt hij onder andere met cabaretiers Ramon Chatrer en Fimme Bakker. Daarnaast is Luuk een vast gezicht bij verschillende stand-up en kleinkunst podia in Amsterdam en omstreken.'

"No need to be afraid, there's nothing to be afraid of." We've all received and given that reassuring advice at one time or another. But is it really such good advice? Isn't it better to learn to deal with your fears instead of pushing them away?

After all, aren't we all afraid? Afraid of war. Afraid of death. Afraid that you will fall in love with Angela de Jong's daughter and that she will make you very happy, but then you will have to drink coffee with Angela de Jong every Sunday afternoon.

Luuk is also afraid of many things. But shamelessly telling his audience about all his failed dates doesn't scare him at all. Or admitting that he doesn't feel like a boy, but not yet a man either. Or explaining why nobody needs to worry about figures like Marc Overmars.

In this musical cabaret performance Luuk takes you along in how he looks at the world.
Is he the umpteenth heterosexual male comedian who will explain to the audience how the world works? Or does he have to make jokes about the elusive world around him because otherwise he will panic completely? You tell me.

Luuk Weggemans (May 10, 1997) graduated from the Academy for Cabaret & Cabaret Art with his performance 'Ertussenuit'. Since then he has been active as an actor, writer, singer, director and comedian.

Rashid Dijks is een beginnend cabaretier, acteur en stand-up comedian. Hij is afgestudeerd aan de HBO cabaret opleiding en op dit moment vooral bezig met het spelen op zoveel mogelijk verschillende plekken. ‘De Vriendelijke Stiefvaders’ is a musical cabaret duo consisting of Bart Jakobs and Teun Beurskens. Two friends for life who met while studying at the Koningstheateracademie. Together they often played as accompaniment in bands during cabaret performances, this brought them to a series of performances in South Africa, the semi-finals of Cameretten and they both wrote/played along with Ramon Chatrer's weekly radio column with Giel Beelen on NPO Radio 2.

Yet they never heard the artists they accompany sing about that which they themselves were fascinated by: bygone patriotic glory. They found out that writing songs with the two of them is fun and so, in 2020, De Vriendelijke Stiefvaders was born.

“Je hoeft niet bang te zijn, dat is nergens voor nodig.” Dat geruststellende advies hebben we allemaal wel eens gekregen én gegeven. Maar is dat wel zo’n goed advies? Is het niet beter om te leren omgaan met je angsten in plaats van ze weg te drukken?

Want zijn we niet allemaal bang? Bang voor oorlog. Bang voor de dood. Bang dat je verliefd wordt op de dochter van Angela de Jong en dat die dochter je dan zielsgelukkig maakt, maar dat je dan dus wel elke zondagmiddag koffie moet drinken met Angela de Jong.

Luuk is ook voor veel dingen bang. Maar zijn publiek schaamteloos vertellen over al z’n mislukte dates, vind hij dan weer helemaal niet eng. Of toegeven dat hij zich geen jongen, maar ook nog geen man voelt. Of uitleggen waarom niemand zich zorgen hoeft te maken over figuren als Marc Overmars.

In deze muzikale cabaretvoorstelling neemt Luuk je mee in hoe hij naar de wereld kijkt.

Over Luuk Weggemans
Luuk Weggemans (10 mei, 1997) studeerde in 2022 af aan de Academie voor Cabaret & Kleinkunst met zijn voorstelling ‘Ertussenuit’. Sindsdien is hij actief als acteur, schrijver, zanger, regisseur en comedian.

Luuk bedacht en speelde de, door Roel Pronk geschreven, toneelmonoloog ‘De Zon Brandt Op Ons’. Ook stond hij in 2022 in het theater met zijn eigen muzikale cabaretvoorstelling ‘Het Komt Weer Terug’. Als regisseur werkt hij onder andere met cabaretiers Ramon Chatrer en Fimme Bakker. Daarnaast is Luuk een vast gezicht bij verschillende stand-up en kleinkunst podia in Amsterdam en omstreken.'

"No need to be afraid, there's nothing to be afraid of." We've all received and given that reassuring advice at one time or another. But is it really such good advice? Isn't it better to learn to deal with your fears instead of pushing them away?

After all, aren't we all afraid? Afraid of war. Afraid of death. Afraid that you will fall in love with Angela de Jong's daughter and that she will make you very happy, but then you will have to drink coffee with Angela de Jong every Sunday afternoon.

Luuk is also afraid of many things. But shamelessly telling his audience about all his failed dates doesn't scare him at all. Or admitting that he doesn't feel like a boy, but not yet a man either. Or explaining why nobody needs to worry about figures like Marc Overmars.

In this musical cabaret performance Luuk takes you along in how he looks at the world.
Is he the umpteenth heterosexual male comedian who will explain to the audience how the world works? Or does he have to make jokes about the elusive world around him because otherwise he will panic completely? You tell me.

Luuk Weggemans (May 10, 1997) graduated from the Academy for Cabaret & Cabaret Art with his performance 'Ertussenuit'. Since then he has been active as an actor, writer, singer, director and comedian.

Soms is het leven als de stroming van de zee.
Word je erdoor meegesleurd en heen en weer geslingerd van hoge verwachting naar diepe teleurstelling.
Je hapt naar lucht, maar je longen vullen zich met water.
En je weet niet of je ooit nog veilig boven zult komen.
Je probeert je ergens aan vast te houden, maar de bodem bestaat uit los zand.
Er is geen houvast. Zelfs weten dat er geen houvast is, is geen houvast.
Want je weet niet, nooit niet wat er gaat gebeuren.
Alles stroomt en niets blijft.
Maar wat als je de illusie van controle loslaat?
Jezelf bevrijdt van alle beelden en verwachtingen?
Wat gebeurt er dan?
Sla je kapot tegen de rotsen? Spoel je aan bij een teleurstellend einde?
Of neemt het water je mee naar een plek die je nooit had kunnen verwachten
en zul je misschien heel misschien daar vinden wat je al die tijd al zocht?

In de tragikomische onemanshow 'Als zeesterren aan land komen' gaat cabaretier en acteur Sebastiaan de Bie op zoek naar een antwoord op de vraag ‘hoe in godsnaam met het leven om te gaan?’. In de hoop dat dat dan iets oplost. Waarschijnlijk niet, maar je moet wat als mens.

Zijn zoektocht is grof en gevoelig. Cynisch en romantisch. Poëtisch en platvloers. Arrogant en onzeker. Een tere ziel die met humor van zich af slaat. Want het wordt in elk geval heel grappig. (Vindt hij zelf tenminste. Is er sowieso altijd één iemand die een leuke tijd heeft.)

Over Sebastiaan de Bie
Sebastiaan de Bie werd in 1999 geboren. Het was blijkbaar zijn beurt. Ooit had hij een hond, maar die is nu dood. Dat was verdrietig, maar niet traumatisch. Hij heeft blauwe ogen die hij hemzelf goed vindt staan en hij eet elke ochtend een bakje cruesli met yoghurt en banaan. Hij vertrouwt zichzelf niet meer in boekwinkels, want hij koopt meer boeken dan hij leest. Ooit was hij bang voor seks, maar dat is nu minder. Hij weet eigenlijk niet écht wie hij is. Maar wie weet dat wel van zichzelf? Diegene moet een steen gooien ofzo…

Sebastiaan de Bie is acteur, cabaretier en schrijver. In 2021 studeerde hij af aan de Amsterdamse Toneelschool & Kleinkunstacademie. Hij maakt komische theatermonologen die zich begeven op het snijvlak van cabaret, toneel en stand-up comedy.

Sometimes life is like the current of the sea.
You are swept by it and tossed back and forth from high expectation to deep disappointment.
You gasp for air, but your lungs fill with water.
And you don't know if you will ever reach the surface safely.
You try to hold on to something, but the ground is made of loose sand.
There is no handhold. Even knowing that there is no holding is no holding.
Because you don't know, never know what is going to happen.
Everything flows and nothing stays.
But what if you let go of the illusion of control?
Free yourself from all images and expectations?
What happens then?
Do you smash against the rocks? Do you wash up at a disappointing end?
Or does the water take you to a place you could never have expected
and maybe just maybe you'll find there what you've been looking for all along?

In the tragicomic one-man show ‘Als zeesterren aan land komen’ (When starfish come ashore) comedian and actor Sebastiaan de Bie goes in search of an answer to the question "how on earth to deal with life”. Hoping that will then solve something. Probably not, but you have to do something as a human being.

His quest is crude and sensitive. Cynical and romantic. Poetic and vulgar. Arrogant and insecure. A delicate soul who lashes out with humor. Because at least it will be very funny (at least he thinks so himself. At least there is always one person having a good time anyway).

About Sebastiaan de Bie
Sebastiaan de Bie was born in 1999. Apparently it was his turn. He once had a dog, but it is now dead. That was sad, but not traumatic. He has blue eyes that he likes himself and he eats a bowl of cruesli with yogurt and banana every morning. He no longer trusts himself in bookstores because he buys more books than he reads. Once he was afraid of sex, but that is less now. He doesn't really know who he is. But who does know that about himself? That person should throw a stone or something...

Sebastiaan de Bie is an actor, comedian and writer. He graduated from Amsterdam's Toneelschool & Kleinkunstacademie in 2021. He creates comedic theater monologues that straddle the intersection of cabaret, drama and stand-up comedy.

About Sebastiaan de Bie
Sebastiaan de Bie was born in 1999. Apparently it was his turn. He once had a dog, but it is now dead. That was sad, but not traumatic. He has blue eyes that he likes himself and he eats a bowl of cruesli with yogurt and banana every morning. He no longer trusts himself in bookstores because he buys more books than he reads. Once he was afraid of sex, but that is less now. He doesn't really know who he is. But who does know that about himself? That person should throw a stone or something...

Sebastiaan de Bie is an actor, comedian and writer. He graduated from Amsterdam's Toneelschool & Kleinkunstacademie in 2021. He creates comedic theater monologues that straddle the intersection of cabaret, drama and stand-up comedy.

“Je hoeft niet bang te zijn, dat is nergens voor nodig.” Dat geruststellende advies hebben we allemaal wel eens gekregen én gegeven. Maar is dat wel zo’n goed advies? Is het niet beter om te leren omgaan met je angsten in plaats van ze weg te drukken?

Want zijn we niet allemaal bang? Bang voor oorlog. Bang voor de dood. Bang dat je verliefd wordt op de dochter van Angela de Jong en dat die dochter je dan zielsgelukkig maakt, maar dat je dan dus wel elke zondagmiddag koffie moet drinken met Angela de Jong.

Luuk is ook voor veel dingen bang. Maar zijn publiek schaamteloos vertellen over al z’n mislukte dates, vind hij dan weer helemaal niet eng. Of toegeven dat hij zich geen jongen, maar ook nog geen man voelt. Of uitleggen waarom niemand zich zorgen hoeft te maken over figuren als Marc Overmars.

In deze muzikale cabaretvoorstelling neemt Luuk je mee in hoe hij naar de wereld kijkt.
Is hij de zoveelste heteroseksuele mannelijke comedian die het publiek gaat uitleggen hoe de wereld werkt? Of móét hij grappen maken over de ongrijpbare wereld om hem heen omdat hij anders in totale paniek raakt? Zeg jij het maar.

Over Luuk Weggemans
Luuk Weggemans (10 mei, 1997) studeerde in 2022 af aan de Academie voor Cabaret & Kleinkunst met zijn voorstelling ‘Ertussenuit’. Sindsdien is hij actief als acteur, schrijver, zanger, regisseur en comedian.

Luuk bedacht en speelde de, door Roel Pronk geschreven, toneelmonoloog ‘De Zon Brandt Op Ons’. Ook stond hij in 2022 in het theater met zijn eigen muzikale cabaretvoorstelling ‘Het Komt Weer Terug’. Als regisseur werkt hij onder andere met cabaretiers Ramon Chatrer en Fimme Bakker. Daarnaast is Luuk een vast gezicht bij verschillende stand-up en kleinkunst podia in Amsterdam en omstreken.'

"No need to be afraid, there's nothing to be afraid of." We've all received and given that reassuring advice at one time or another. But is it really such good advice? Isn't it better to learn to deal with your fears instead of pushing them away?

After all, aren't we all afraid? Afraid of war. Afraid of death. Afraid that you will fall in love with Angela de Jong's daughter and that she will make you very happy, but then you will have to drink coffee with Angela de Jong every Sunday afternoon.

Luuk is also afraid of many things. But shamelessly telling his audience about all his failed dates doesn't scare him at all. Or admitting that he doesn't feel like a boy, but not yet a man either. Or explaining why nobody needs to worry about figures like Marc Overmars.

In this musical cabaret performance Luuk takes you along in how he looks at the world.
Is he the umpteenth heterosexual male comedian who will explain to the audience how the world works? Or does he have to make jokes about the elusive world around him because otherwise he will panic completely? You tell me.

About Luuk Weggemans
Luuk Weggemans (May 10, 1997) graduated from the Academy for Cabaret & Cabaret Art with his performance 'Ertussenuit'. Since then he has been active as an actor, writer, singer, director and comedian.

Maar dan komen langzaam de vragen.
Wat voor mens wil ik worden,
Wat is mijn plek in de wereld?
Ben ik wie ik wil zijn of ben ik een aangepaste versie van mezelf?

In deze voorstelling gaat Rashid op zoek naar antwoorden.
Hij geeft het publiek een rondleiding op de chaotische bouwplaats van zijn leven.

Waarom onderdrukken we onze inner gangster en kunnen Nederlanders ook lekker roti maken? Word je uiteindelijk de persoon die je wilt zijn of blijf je je hele leven Onder Constructie?

Over Rashid Dijks
Rashid Dijks is een beginnend cabaretier, acteur en stand-up comedian. Hij is afgestudeerd aan de HBO cabaret opleiding en op dit moment vooral bezig met het spelen op zoveel mogelijk verschillende plekken. De vorm van zijn materiaal is vooral stand-up comedy, inhoudelijke verhalen en hiphop/rap muziek.

At the beginning, you have so many ideas, so many dreams. The whole world is open to you.
But then slowly the questions come.
What kind of person do I want to become,
What is my place in the world?
Am I who I want to be or am I a modified version of myself?

In this performance Rashid goes in search of answers.
He gives the audience a tour of the chaotic construction site of his life.

Why do we suppress our inner gangster and can Dutch people also make delicious roti? Will you eventually become the person you want to be or will you remain Under Construction all your life?

Rashid Dijks is a starting comedian, actor and stand-up comedian. He is a graduate of the HBO cabaret program and at the moment mainly busy playing in as many different places as possible. The form of his material is mainly stand-up comedy, content stories and hip-hop/rap music.
