Bart is van oorsprong animatiefilmer. Maar de drang naar direct contact met het publiek stuurde hem naar het podium, waar de interactie tussen maker en publiek sterker is.

Bart herkent zich meestal niet in de problematiek van zijn leeftijds- of vakgenoten en vraagt zich steeds vaker af waar hij zich dan wel in zou herkennen. In een komische vertelstijl, waarin surrealistische werelden zich afwisselen met poëtische intermezzo’s en liedjes, deelt Bart zijn persoonlijke kijk op het leven en de vragen die hem bezighouden. De bouwstenen van zijn voorstelling zijn eigenzinnige gedachtenspinsels en absurde verhalen.

Bart usually does not recognize himself in the issues of his peers or professionals and increasingly wonders what he would recognize himself in. In a comic narrative style, in which surrealistic worlds alternate with poetic interludes and songs, Bart shares his personal view of life and the questions that occupy him. The building blocks of his performance are quirky thoughts and absurd stories.

Jannes vraagt zich af of dit nou wel nodig is, terwijl hij er zelf net zo hard aan mee doet. Want owee als je ook maar iets buiten de boot valt, dan hoor je er niet meer bij. “Begrijp mij niet verkeerd, ik heb niets tegen mannelijkheid, maar als het er is om iets anders te onderdrukken…”

In een tijd waarin toxic masculinity trending is en het maatschappelijke debat rondom gender overuren draait, probeert Jannes zijn plek te vinden. De waarheid ligt in het midden en het antwoord ‘Tussenin’.

Een coming (out) of age voorstelling over een échte man die het gevoel heeft steeds weer opnieuw te moeten uitkomen voor een onderwerp waar nog geen speciale feestdag voor is.

Farting without embarrassment, setting off fireworks, watching porn and demolishing things for no reason. If you put ‘real men’ together, this is only a fraction of what you can expect.

Jannes wonders if this is really necessary, while he himself participates just as much. Because if you are even slightly out of place, you no longer belong. "Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against masculinity, but if it's there to suppress something else..."

At a time when toxic masculinity is trending and the social debate around gender is working overtime, Jannes is trying to find his place. The truth lies in the middle and the answer "In between.

A coming (out) of age performance about a real man who feels he has to keep coming out on a subject for which there is no special holiday yet.

145 jaar geleden trok Nora de deur voorgoed achter zich dicht. Vanavond trapt ze ‘m weer keihard in. Het klassieke personage Nora (1879) uit ‘Een Poppenhuis’ reclaimt in 2024 the narrative in haar theatrale, eigentijdse en feministische popconcert.

Wat als het personage Nora uit 1879 in 2024 een popconcert geeft? Het levert een feministisch popconcert op, over het losbreken uit het Poppenhuiscomplex en het op zoek gaan naar je eigen stem. “Mijn pop is zo groot gegroeid dat ze alle ruimte heeft ingenomen. En nu is er geen ruimte meer voor de vrouw in mij. Dus mijn vrouw vertrekt, en ik blijf alleen achter met mijn pop.”

Met Henrik Ibsen en Kurt Weill als inspiratiebron bezingt Nora haar verhaal en herschrijft ze twee mannelijke bronnen naar een vrouwelijk perspectief. Het repertoire gaat van zachte pop tot een clubhit waar je op wilt dansen. Nora is voor Daniëlle Deddens een alterego. Via Nora kan ze haar eigen verhaal vertellen.

145 years ago, Nora pulled the door shut behind her for good. Tonight, she kicks it down hard again. The classic character Nora (1879) from "A Doll's House" reclaims the narrative in her theatrical, contemporary and feminist pop concert in 2024.

What if the 1879 character Nora gives a pop concert in 2024? It produces a feminist pop concert, about breaking free from the Dollhouse Complex and searching for your own voice. "My doll has grown so big that it has taken up all the space. And now there is no more room for the woman in me. So my wife leaves, and I am left alone with my doll."

Using Henrik Ibsen and Kurt Weill as inspiration, Nora sings her story and rewrites two male sources to a female perspective. The repertoire ranges from soft pop to a club hit that makes you want to dance to it. Nora is an alter-ego for Daniëlle Deddens. Through Nora, she can tell her own story.
